2-Day Itinerary Anza Borrego State Park, CA

Day 1: 

• Arrive to Anza Borrego State Park early morning.

• Hike Slot + Wash + Butte Loop 4.6* Rating on AllTrails | moderate | 4.6mi |

• Stay at Borrego Palm Canyon Campground $35/night plus $8 booking fee. (Includes flush toilets & showers, must get coins at park entrance for showers). Settle into the campground.If camping is not your scene, consider staying at various accommodation options in Borrego Springs.

• Afternoon / evening hike @Borrego Palm Canyon Loop 4.7* Rating in All Trails | moderate | 2.8mi | 4 min from camp.

Day 2:

• Sunrise at  Font's Point Sunrise  (8.2 miles easy hike, can be shorter if your vehicle can handle off roading. Although it requires some  off-roading, if your vehicle is fairly lifted it could handle most of the drive out there. You can get your car pretty much to the viewpoint for sunrise if you aren't up for a 4 mile hike before sunrise! 

• Brunch back at campsite and pack up. Nothing like a morning coffee with a morning campfire while packing up your tent. (you can also be completely packed when you leave for sunrise if you are feeling ambitious).

  
  

• Afternoon / evening hike at Whale Peak (4.8 | hard | 4.8mi | 1hr from camp)
